...online education helped her take control of her life
Ms. Tricia Psarreas apprehensively began her studies with Ellis College, fearing that she would experience the same obstacles she had encountered at other institutions. In the past, Tricia had never been able to complete a campus based college course due to frequent absences caused by her medical conditions. Until she started at Ellis, Tricia thought she would never finish her degree. Shortly after beginning her online courses with Ellis, her fears and hesitation went away. In eight months, she had completed the 63 credits she needed to earn her Bachelor's Degree in English and graduate summa cum laude with a 3.94 GPA.
Soon after graduation, Trica founded The Brighter Writer, a freelance writing company. Tricia turned to Ellis students and graduates and now employs several Ellis College alumni to assist her with her growing business. She has clients all over the world and just recently committed to co-writing a book with a famous athlete. Through the years, she has served as a special education mentor, a political campaign volunteer for a local government official and an English tutor for junior high and high school students.
"Thanks to Ellis College, I not only overcame my educational obstacles—I overcame everything that held me back in life."
